The deal covers all of Wanderer’s men and women’s teams and becomes one of the biggest sponsorship deals in the country.

This exciting partnership was officially revealed at the Golden Peacock Hotel in Blantyre on Saturday, marking a new chapter in both 888bets and Mighty Wanderer’s history.

As part of the collaboration, 888bets will oversee the jersey branding for all Wanderers teams, including the senior team, reserve squad, youth, and women’s teams, showcasing the 888bets logo prominently.

Clement Kwesi Phiri, Country Manager for 888bets Malawi, expressed pride in selecting Wanderers, the 2024 Castel Challenge Cup champions, citing their status as the premier team in the country. “This partnership is focused on investing in the passion and talent that drive football in Malawi. The event was well attended by key figures, including Wanderers directors Chancy Gondwe, Limbani Magomero, Christ Gondwe, Tiya Somba-Banda, and Andrex Kalinden. The team’s supporter of the year, Nelson ‘Bwede’ Zakeyu, was present, accompanied by fellow supporters Yona ‘Green’ Malunga and Herbert Mlaka, who showed their enthusiasm throughout the night.

Notable players in attendance included Isaac ‘Chair’ Kaliati, Stanley Sanudi, and Felix Zulu. The evening also featured a performance by musician Noel Chikoleka, popularly known as Phyzix, who is an ambassador for 888bets.
